Emory Science Communication is a student organization at Emory that aims to provide students with the opportunity to communicate science so that it is accessible to the general public. SciComm does this by producing Inscripto, where students can participate in the creation of popular science media including writing, photo, video, podcasts, and design. Additionally, SciComm holds monthly meetings which host guest speakers and workshops of how to write and communicate science both popularly and through technical writing.
Inscripto is SciComm's flagship publication. It's mission is to publish student-produced popular science media that is accessible to the general public and in doing so provide Emory students the opportunity to particpate in the popular communication of science. Students may contribute not just through writing articles, but also working on Inscripto podcasts, infographics, photo, video, and other forms of media. To contribute to Inscripto, please visit the Submit tab above.
Behind everything that SciComm produces, posts, and publishes is the SciComm Design Team, which is responsible for all design and media tasks. The design team is responsible for everything from creating promotional posters and meeting banners to the layout and design of the Inscripto website down to the pictures associated with all articles. The design team is always looking for help, so if you're interesting in sharing your talents, contact the executive board.
